De-Influenced is a UK-based supplement analysis service that helps consumers make informed decisions about health products. We operate at de-influenced.com.

What data we collect

• Account information — When you sign up via Clerk, we store your email address and display name.
• Analysis history — Product URLs you submit, analysis results, and alternative recommendations are stored in our database (Convex).
• Usage data — Credit balance, subscription status, and feature usage for billing purposes.

How we use your data

• To provide and improve the De-Influenced analysis service.
• To manage your account, credits, and subscription.
• To communicate service updates or respond to support requests.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only by default:

• Session cookies — Managed by Clerk for authentication.
• Theme preference — Stores your light/dark mode choice locally.

Optional analytics cookies are only loaded if you explicitly consent via our cookie banner.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate De-Influenced:

• Clerk — Authentication and user management. Receives your email and profile information.
• Convex — Database and serverless backend. Stores your analysis data.
• Scrapfly — Web scraping service. Receives product URLs you submit for analysis.
• OpenAI — AI analysis. Receives product ingredient data (not your personal information) for dose assessment.

Data retention & deletion

Product analyses are cached for up to 30 days to improve performance. If you delete your account, all associated personal data is removed. Anonymised, aggregated analysis data may be retained for service improvement.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure — Ask us to delete your personal data.
• Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Object — Object to processing of your data in certain circumstances.
